The 126500LN debuted at Watches & Wonders 2023 as the update to the steel Daytona: a slightly thinner 40mm Oystersteel case, more balanced lugs, a refined black Cerachrom tachymeter bezel framing the white “Panda” dial, and the new Calibre 4131, which takes the power reserve from 48 to roughly 72 hours.

The Daytona has been Rolex’s racing chronograph since 1963, named for Daytona Beach and its racing history, and made legendary decades later by the one Paul Newman wore. The tachymeter still does what it was built for, timing speed over a measured distance, and the steel case and Oyster bracelet keep it a watch you can wear hard.
